Hi ALL,

THANK YOU to everyone who came out to the 2 benefit shows on Saturday.

We tried to do shows downstairs at the PUSSYCAT because some gay organization didn't think 9/11 was worth remembering and refused to switch rooms with us. The room downstairs is not designed for live music. I'm sorry for the disappointing sound, but our thoughts were in the right place. Everyone who was involved rolled with it and at least we were able to try and do the right thing.

Meanwhile over at UNION POOL despite the heat of the room, the bands SMOKED! Everyone wants to go back and play again. The fact that there was a large smoking patio may have had a little to do with it. I tend to believe it was the quality of the bands. They all volunteered and came in for 15 minute sets. No griping, no egos, no bitching! We only went over time by 20 minutes. THANK YOU to all the bands for making that happen. TOR of JOKER 5 SPEED summed it all up perfectly when he said he was sorry he had to play this show because he would rather have had our lost friends, relatives and fellow Americans around to enjoy the shows, but he was proud and honored to be involved. I also would like to send a BIG THANK YOU to UNION POOL for letting us do it there and STEVE PANG of OTTO's for donating the entire backline for the bands to use, so that we were able to stay on schedule. Also ALAN RAND for designing the flyers and printing them (especially since every day I asked him to change them due to last minute changes) and also for helping me move all the equipment from OTTO's at 3am Fri. nite/Sat. morning from OTTO's to UNION POOL. Then on Sun. he helped me bring it all back to OTTO's so that I could do my Sun. show there.

Now it's back to what passes for normal. Here's some interesting stuff coming up.
